Weekly Project and Activity Schedule - Overview

How it Works

• Each project slot will offer 2 or 3 options so that our youth members can follow their interests (see chart below)

• Our projects are volunteer-led, and we ask each family to have one approved adult volunteer. Not all volunteers need to lead projects, but we need additional volunteers for supporting leaders and admin and other activities.  Help us to Make the Best Better!  We appreciate you.

South Coast Research Extension Center, 7601 Irvine Blvd.

Who Can Join

• Enrollment is first come, first served

• Priority: families who are leading projects

• Each project is limited to 12 kids

• Projects are very popular, so sign up early!

Tuesday Schedule - Session 4

11:00–11:55 AM – Project #1

• Choose one: Herbalism & Teas, STEAM Anatomy, Yearbook

11:55–12:40 PM – Lunch & Announcements

12:40–1:35 PM – Project #2

• Choose one: Printmaking, Intermediate Gardening, Improv Theater

1:35–1:45 PM – Break

1:45–2:40 PM – Project #3

• Choose one: Fairy Houses, CA History, Card Games Around the World

Information and Location

Thursday Park Projects will be a new offering for the Homeschool Collective this year! Having a park option will allow for a less restrictive environment for kids needing more movement, and will give us an opportunity to offer projects that are better served with an outdoor location such as sports, nature projects, etc. 

We will rotate park locations either monthly or quarterly so that we can use parks that are better fits for certain projects.

• Choose one: Athletics or Messy Art

12:00-1:00: Lunch & Announcements

1:00-2:00: Project #2

• Choose one:  Comic Book Making or Greek Mythology
